I hate semester exams !!!!!!!!!

Ohhh My God!!!!! Not again.Awwwww yes the ‘Oh snap..exams already! syndrome’.The exam fever is slowly gripping up my mind and more questions are cropping in mind, the sun was so much hotter today, and that heat seems to extend throughout the night.Ohh god please give me some strength to face the remaining four papers this week.And i swear right after exam this friday i want to hang out with my friends(Alay,Priyansh,Dhrumil,Vaibhav) till night! yeah! release my tension and doing my hobby-movies, movies and movies! Yeaaahhhh!!.I am definitely gonna have some good dinner with my fellas after exams(Yummmmmmmm).,

With exams so around the corner! how could i survive in such a hostile environment? face the book wholeday, and face also the Facebook!.hehehehe.kinda idiotic me talking like this. You can neglect it, and all the thing that i need to do now is STUDY!!!!.This time i am damn Serious.AM I ???Just kidding:P.

There are still million of things to be read now, but i’m still updating this blog.I am a such a nooooooob.

April -The summer sickness bug!!

I hate this season of the year,yes i am talking about,April!!!!.Oh boy, that is fearful.Summer onslaught is generally known as the “Doctors season”. with enormous number of people either falling sick or feeling helpless.Guess what? but this time for some reasons it was not that bad as it was supposed to be.There were some good and some bad i mean really really bad phase i went through this summer.

Reason for being euphoric.: Got selected for qualification round (1A,1B,1C) of Google code jam 2012 with 45 points in kitty(Not a big deal).Went up in rankings by a huge lift in Codechef  in long(1356/ 803) as well as in short(594/172) contest.I started coding in March only and participated in cookoff for first time.Started my work on Natural Language Processing(Not much really….only basics.Will work on it after my college end sem exams in may).

Reason for being mad: The main induction for my mental disorder in my own fucking college.This place sucked the juice out of my life.I am no more than a mere skeleton+flesh moving with no grace,with depression  taking the place of confidence.Today i went through my Computer Architecture practical exam.That exam was as bad as shit.I have been busy for past few days due to pressure of doing assignments,practicals,completing practical notebooks,not being able to watch movies(Now that’s pathetic).And more often I feel alone, I feel detached, I feel unloved.

Any way why am I blabbering like a ten year old child? What good is that, tell me?

PS: Wish me best of luck for tommorow’s maths viva.

Difference between func() and func(void) in C and C++

Explantion:

In C++:
int func() is same as int func(void),because void parameter list is optional in C++.Both of them means function taking no arguements.

In C:
void func(void) means function taking no arguments.same as c++.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        void func() means in function there is no specification of number of arguments and about the type.

Example:

Reason for #include in c++

Why do we put #include in C ???

If a line starts with a hash, denoted by #, kit tells the compiler that a command should be sent to the C PREPROCESSOR. The C preprocessor is a program that is run before compilation takes place ( hence the name).
Basically, when the preprocessor finds #include it looks for the file specified and replaces #include with the contents of that file. This makes the code more readable and easier to maintain if you needed to use common library functions.
Header files have the extension .h and the full filename follows from the #include directive . They contain functions that you may or may not have used in your program.
for e.g, the stdio.h file is required if you have used functions like printf() and scanf() in your program.

Ah!!! Hostel Part 2

Continuation of Ah!!Hostel Part 1. Sorry for late post.But this time it is not because of my lazy ass.Damn that internet operators.I wanna sue them(If i get to).

The below points reflect the standards of NIT hostels.

1.) Internet: High speed 24/7 wifi and lan connection along with DC++ is best facility provided to students  that can last you for your life’s entertainment. This may be the fastest internet connectivity you can get (Free of cost 😛 ).

2.) Toilets and Bathrooms: NITians don’t bath for days that’s for sure and hence its rare that you find any two of the three Bathrooms  shared by 30 people filled any single day not even at weekends.Toilets and bathrooms are cleaned at least once a day.

3.). Water and Electricity :Uninterrupted supply of electricity. Thanks to the deemed status of  NITs enjoy an uninterrupted supply of electricit.Yeah but that’s  not the case with water. Each hostel pays close to INR 1L in electricity bills(I guess). You can charge, keep anything you want on for how much ever time. Some of my friends forget the last time they  had switched off their laptop (except for the mandatory restart for updates installations). No one questions you on this.Water Scarcity-You have to go to mess every time for chilled water(If you don’t want to have a kidney stone).

4.) Keeping you socially entertained: Events happening at the hostel and the institute level, all festivals, make you feel at the epicentre of all activity in the universe. You are culturally catered to with not just your culture but with all cultures.

5.) Freedom and Independence: Thats what i am missing and my hostel friends are releshing (Grrrrrrrrr).No tension, no responsibilities, no answerability at all. You dont have to get up to help your mother do chores. You can pretty much live the way you want to. The 14 ft x 14 ft abode is yours and only yours.

6.)Food Options:To be honest food options are null here at SVNIT.Hostel food – Worst.Canteen -Cheap,not so good not so bad but we have only one(sob 😦 ).But outside hostel you can’t just resist.U.S Pizza,Domino’s,Mc Donalds,North Indian,Chinese and yes Vad Pav and Sugarcane juice are the best option you have any time.(Yummmmm).

PS: Still dreaming of getting into NITs(Think twice??).I am awesome.

 

Ah!!!!Hostel Part 1

This article “hopes” to clear some misconceptions about NIT’s. To some of my non-NITian friends(Vaibhav,Abhishek,Akash etc etc) NIT is about studies, studies and more studies, nerds, nerds and more nerds. In NIT, you will study barely one fourth of the time you spent studying for JEE and AIEEE. NIT has a great hostel life(Apart from food(yuckkkkk) and Water scarcity) and there is much more to do other than books(except for a few cramers and girls).

NIT’s and IIT’s may bragg of producing the best talents from this country but their hostels still remains in a messy state.Although i am not a hostelite(My bad or may be my good :P) but i still managed to get insight of hostel life after spending one and half years at SVNIT. Every fresher will  look forward to spend there next 4 years at hostel.      Students say that if you can survive NIT hostel life as well academic torture, you can survive any place in the world(You wanna bet??).So, what do we infer from this phrase?

1.)Every SVNITian should be given B.survival degree in addition to B.Tech.

2.)That hostel life in NIT is so pathetic that forebearing that is the worst that can happen to you from a habitat perspective.

Hostelite’s use to have bad food (SHIT would suit better), loud music,Videos (hilarious and bare it all, sometimes literally, videos shot by friends),dancing,GPL in birthday(You would always wish that you were born in leap year 🙂 ),photography, debates worth lolling, sulking hostel wardens and stuff. Sometimes students also explored some forbidden borders(Thanks to Anil Tiwari) and experimented with stuff which they were not supposed to.Not within institute limits.

PS: This is just a brief  description.Will discuss more in next part.

Messi V/s Cristiano Ronaldo

These two are unarguably the best in contemporary world of football.In fact, in the last four editions of FIFA’s best player of the year have been shared by magical Messi and his La Liga rival Christiano Ronaldo.But the question is who has the edge over other??.According to me both are killing right now though i am a die-hard Messi and Barcelona fan.Here are some stats that i collected from internet few days back.

Last season they both scored 53 goals for their respective clubs. Since Ronaldo joined Madrid in 2009, he has scored 126 goals in 127 games. Over the same period, Messi has scored 150 goals in 151 games.

This season while Ronaldo hit 33 goals from 35 games in his first season at Real, Messi answered for the Blaugrana with 45 from 52. When Ronaldo became the first-ever to hit 40 league goals in a La Liga season in 2010-11, Messi scored 12 in the Champions League and 31 in the league to lead Barca to a double. And in this season so far, Ronaldo’s 37 goals from 30 games in La Liga edges Messi’s 36 from 29. However, the Argentine’s overall tally of 58 from 49 games leaves Ronaldo’s 49 from 48 trailing behind.

Football barometer proves that the sport is becomming more and more defensive day by day yet both of them are scoring faster and faster every season.So what’s the secret.??

1.) One obvious answer is that both of them are playing for the most devastating clubs in the football history whose only competition is each other.No doubt about that!!!!

2.)Both players are blessed with amazing talent and inexorable passion. And both seems to be pushing each other to keep improving and scoring goals every single day and every single match.

3.)The two men are also remarkably fit and successful at avoiding injuries.

Be it Messi’s magical left foot or Ronaldo’s goal scoring record or Messi’s presence of mind and Ronaldo’d driblling skills both of them have made significant contribution to their respective teams.Barcelona would not be able to exchange passes with such extraordinary precision without Messi and Xavi and Iniesta pitches on which they play, while Ronaldo’s dead-ball  owes much to the modern game of footballs.But the individual stats do not answer such questions which would either require additional stats or are simply unanswerable due to the way that football works.

PS–I love FC-Barcelona and i hate Cristiano Ronaldo.Life is too short:Love football.

Corruption @ NIT’s

Every now and then you read about corruption on internet,newspaper articles or may be you hear from your friends.Even the word Corruption in not enough for explaining corruption:(.Everyone is bitching out politicians.Forget about that.Even the bright minds of india are putting their dirty hands in the mud of corruption.Want to know how???.Let me give you an insight of corruption @ SVNIT.

IITs and NITs claims to be producing “the best” for past 50 years.Yeah “the best” in every field including corruption.We are provided with every kind of opportunities.Every year four type of fest are held at SVNIT.Two Technical,one Cultural and one sports.Additional to this there are various students chapters such as ACM,Dristi or some shitty name related to music,arts etc etc.Now for making such type of fest having a huge amount of budget a grand success and to make the system run smoothly different type of positions are kept.For example Convenor,Co-Convenor and various representative for publicity,sponsoring,technical and various other departments.Naturally for each fest, club or any activity there’s a budget which is decided and bills are submitted during due course fitting that budget.Be it faking of bills,fudging with budgets etc etc everything is done by students.Sometimes bills do not get cleared easily for representatives. The secretary who head them have better ways to use them. Everybody know what are those. The big cut is obtained when you set up something big like really big..There is always a whole lot of politics involved even in the selection of representatives and secretaries.Basically students are grouped on the basis of state to which they belong or the board from which you passed your 12th(Could have used better word.But my lazy won’t ).Suppose if you are from rajasthan then you belong to Rajasthan Association or if you passsed your 12th from CBSE you belong to CB group.Now that’s embarrassing:(.So if the head of any event is from some XYZ group,then definitely all the lower representatives will be from that group only.So you are selected by your State or if you have any contacts from senior not by your talent. We have 20% of that type of guys in our own 50 student class.

So what do they do with all this money???.

1.) Some are able to get their dream bikes financed.

2.) Some may be having a disco party at some resort or discotheque.

3.) Some of them go to goa or daman and grab a beer.etc etc.

Even worst.Some friends of mine took a mouse from computer lab for playing counter strike(So cheap).I am not Anna Hazare,but atleast we can take an intiative for stopping all this.

PS: This year Mindbend’12 was cancelled by SVNIT authorities because last year some fucking bastards did a scam of 8-10 lakhs and went to Goa for partying.

Facebook “Hacker Cup”

Hello Folks.

Today i came across Facebook Hacker Cup.Thanks to Google .Many of you might know about this and bunch of you may have given the contest.Well I didn’t.I read all the three questions.I was able to solve only two problems.Enough for advancing to second round(Fuck man!!).Both of them were kickass. One  of them is  Billiboards and another one is Alphabet Soup.

But for now,I am going to discuss only about the easy one – Alphabet Soup.

Boys and Girls @ SVNIT

I was dying to share this ultra hot topic with you but i hope this doesn’t catch the eye of  SVNIT authorities or create a stir and get me into trouble -DISCO….Students here love to hear that.Authorities at SVNIT could easily foult you or give you DISCO even for a small mischief or nuisance.Like I care.(Hehe….).

I’m not here to talk about the SVNIT girls and their beauty or the especially brains or  their poor sense of dressing style and they wear them alternately to classes or the way how they think they are very sexy and sought after or the way how they think the boys in SVNIT are no good and that the guys from outside the campus are sexy and more …manly. :sigh: And yes, I could go on all day long.I don’t know what rubbish they think about us- but we are the super cool studs of SVNIT.We ain’t that bad.Are we???.

Let me give you glimpse of boyzzz in my college.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Suppose you are a desperate indian male studying at Svnit in a place like Surat.Everytime you hangout with friends at some crowded mall or at streets of Piplod and Citylight you see tonnes of hot girls with some fools  and the first question that comes into your mind is “Why don’t you have any one around you??”.Believe me some of  my friends always have a discussion on this topic .That’s because your a small city nerd with cheap looks at girls and Charlatan attitude.Girls are in every topic of discussion at hostel when there is a booz(as far as i know) and they want every details of it.But all i know is that there ar 3000+ boys in Svnit and off the handful boys only a single decimal percentage gets lucky.This is mainly because of the poor inflow of girls at IITs and NITs .Our system really sucks.
